Ms. Gerfen's English III classes are conducting research on two local school issues: video surveillance and closed campus.

Three stops for government statisitics include:

The National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) operates within the U. S. Department of Education and the Institute of Education Sciences (IES) and is the group primarily responsible for collecting and analyzing education data.  Be sure to spend time in the Site Index.

The University of Michigan Library Documents Center: Statistical Resources on the Web: Education  is an award-winning source that overlaps with the NCES site.  However, the annotation, organization, and linking may be easier to navigate for some students.

For any kind of federal statistics, you can't beat FedStats.gov.
