Castle Cafe Opens @ your library
We just enjoyed the first day of Fall, and the Castle Cafe is celebrating with Hot Chocolate.  A cup of chocolatey warmth costs only $.50, and the proceeds will go to Gettin' Comfortable @ your library.  The Castle Cafe opens at 7:45 a.m. each morning in the Fiction Room and is open during lunch on most days.

Library Advisory Council
One of our goals @ your library is to provide support for students and teachers at Red Bud High School.  If you'd like to help "build" a high school library that is one of the best, become a Library Advisory Council member.

Council members help to choose books, read and review them when they arrive, plan library programming, and more.

Council members also work beyond the library by sponsoring our school's spring blood drive.

Regular meetings are Wednesday mornings at 7:45 in the Fiction Room.  New members are welcome.  Snacks are available.

Watch the announcements, this website, the bulletin board, and our Facebook page, RBHS Media Center, for more information.

School Library Month
School Library Month is celebrated each year in April.  Watch for special events.

Destiny Library Catalog
With our new web-based library catalog, you can now look for books, place your own holds, suggest new books to add to the library, and write reviews from any computer anywhere.  Through the Destiny Power Search tab, you can also access all the databases available to RBHS students - without having to remember usernames and passwords!

RBHS Media Center on Facebook
Become a fan of RBHS Media Center on Facebook to discuss books and get announcements about RBHS Media delivered straight to your own Facebook page.

Well-Used Books Sale
We are doing some fall cleaning, and that means some books that haven't been checked out in years or that have been replaced with less tattered copies need to find a new home.  Selection will change daily.  Hardback books are $.25 and paperbacks are $.10.  Once a week or so, we will run our Buck a Bag special: fill a grocery back with the books of your choice for $1.00.

Currently, all sale books are fiction.  We will add nonfiction later this year.

Teen Read Week
Teen Read Week is October 16 - 22.  This year's theme is Picture It @ your library. Watch announcements and bulletin boards for events and activies.
